Ministry of Property Maintenance

The Trustee of Property Maintenance Ministries, in general, will be responsible to the council president for the proper maintenance and protection of all physical property of the congregation. Specifically, responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  1. Recruiting and scheduling volunteers who will perform maintenance and upkeep on all property.
  2. Scheduling and conducting of periodic work days.
  3. Informing the congregation of needs for skills and abilities in maintenance.
  4. Making an inventory of all property and updating it as needed and coordinating with the president for adequate insurance coverage.
  5. Scheduling routine maintenance on heating plants, musical instruments, and other equipment requiring contract maintenance.
  6. Arranging for the proper heating, cooling, ventilating and lighting of the facilities, depending upon use, for each scheduled activity.
  7. Supporting other ministries as requested to prepare the facility prior to and securing the facility after completion of scheduled activities such as weddings, funerals, etc.
  8. Monitoring the custodial care of the facilities and reporting issues to council.
  9. Encouraging members of the congregation to serve in this ministry.
